We keep it simple and do it now. The World and people complicate things. We are laser-focused and personally involved in our projects. All our people in UK and Nepal are, knowledgable, committed and skilled in their respective areas of work.
Our focus is on improving the long term education and well being of disadvantaged children in the remote mountainous areas of Nepal. That will mean building low impact, high quality permanent schools, classrooms, shower blocks, toilet blocks, dormitories, outdoor play and assembly areas, solar lighting systems, water catchment and storage facilities, kitchen facilities and more as required. A lasting facility and asset for future generations.
Each school is based on educating 100+ children. Larger schools and facilities will be considered depending on local conditions and requirments. A typical school will have 3 or 4 classrooms built to Nepalese Earthquake proof standards and specifications.
Going forward, funds permitting we are looking at building “Special Needs” schools of a similar size for say – 100 Disabled, Deaf, Blind, Challenged children.
We of course work closely with local people and communities to ensure their needs where possible are met. We will always when use local indigenous building materials and local labour where possible. Improving education also means supplying the physical everyday needs of the children and teachers, desks, chairs, teaching equipment and supplies, books and consumables.
We will supply each child with a personal inventory of learning materials.
We always work in unison with local communities and goverment agencies to ensure a quality, long lasting end product that we, the community and Nepal can all be proud of.
