About Us

We are a team of people in the UK trying to make a difference in the world. With extensive experience in Disaster Relief efforts worldwide over many years in particular the repair and reconstruction of schools and family community centres we have come to the conclusion that the best and most cost effective way to improve the world is to educate children. Mainly disadvantaged children in remote areas with little or no facilities or infrastructure. Unless we help, these children have no hope of a decent life or future and unable to help move themselves or their country forward.

We have decided to concentrate our efforts in Nepal – a country we know well and have visited many times. Famous as the home of Mount Everest and Gurkha Soldiers. We have good contacts with the government and a commited experienced team on the ground in Nepal. Nepal, population of around 22 million. A poor but improving country. It is ranked 110th out of 167 out of countries surveyed on the world’s poor list. 119th on the education list. 133rd on the living stardard list. Average annual salary in Nepal is US$ 7,000, Rural workers less than half of that. 61% of Nepalese people work in rural agriculture. About 1 million children do not, cannot attend school in Nepal . Currently the literacy rate in Nepal is 71.5% For comparison the UK literacy rate is 99.9%.
